Welcome back to our kanji learning series!
In this second part, we introduce the next 10 foundational kanji to expand your reading skills. These characters are simple but commonly seen in daily life.
11. 土 (Earth / Ground)
- On'yomi: ど・と
- Kun'yomi: つち
- Meaning: Earth / Soil
- Example: 土の中にあります。 (It's in the ground.)
12. 山 (Mountain)
- On'yomi: さん
- Kun'yomi: やま
- Meaning: Mountain
- Example: 山が見えます。 (I can see a mountain.)
13. 川 (River)
- On'yomi: せん
- Kun'yomi: かわ
- Meaning: River
- Example: 川であそびます。 (I play at the river.)
14. 空 (Sky / Empty)
- On'yomi: くう
- Kun'yomi: そら・から
- Meaning: Sky / Empty

15. 天 (Heaven / Sky)
