Here, you'll discover 10 basic yet powerful kanji characters often used in daily Japanese life.
Each kanji includes its meaning, readings, and example usage.
1. 一 (One)
- On'yomi: いち
- Kun'yomi: ひとつ
- Meaning: One
- Example: 一つください。 (Please give me one.)
2. 二 (Two)
- On'yomi: に
- Kun'yomi: ふたつ
- Meaning: Two
- Example: 二人で行きます。 (We’ll go as two.)
3. 三 (Three)
- On'yomi: さん
- Kun'yomi: みっつ
- Meaning: Three
- Example: 三つあります。 (There are three.)
4. 人 (Person)
- On'yomi: じん・にん
- Kun'yomi: ひと
