In Part 5, we introduce another 10 useful kanji for beginners—this time focusing on directions, nature, and numbers. Let’s continue!


41. 北 (North)

  • On'yomi: ほく
  • Kun'yomi: きた
  • Meaning: North
  • Example: 北の町です。 (It’s a northern town.)

42. 南 (South)

  • On'yomi: なん
  • Kun'yomi: みなみ
  • Meaning: South
  • Example: 南のくにです。 (It’s a southern country.)

43. 東 (East)
